I may be addicted... again

 

 I took several years off from coloring but recently I just cant seem to stop!

Here are a few that I have finished this week but haven't blogged about...

 

 

I was invited by Alyce at Kit and Clowder To do another Guest DT for

Scrappers Delights New releases

 

So rather than a regular card I thought I would give a Shadow box a try.

My silhouette missed me so it was time to dust her off :) All cut files can be found in the Silhouette Store :)

 

Also I colored up this little sweetie last night while watching one of the saddest movies on the Planet! Hachi a Dogs Story. Waaaaaa I cried like a baby and couldn't stop even after the movie was over.

 

I am totally thrilled by ho this came out! I usually have all my lines blending together/ I managed to keep them all strong here.

Not perfect but a challenge non the less...

 

And yes couldn't stop there...

 

This is also by AuroraWings. This is one of the images you do in the Kit and Clowder Skin and HAir Class. I chose to do the whole image instead of the smaller one that is offered in the class... More challenging but I have a usable finished project when done! I Love how she turned out! So of course she is now in a frame looking for space on one of my walls :)

 

I've also just finished up another DT card for Inky Impressions

But I cant show you till Wednesday! Dang it! I hate that! I get all finished then cant wait to share...

I will develop (Some Day) this thing called patience!

Inky Impressions Inspirational card!

 

Well I had this fantastic idea for a painted

background with this awesome sentiment from:

Inky Impressions centered over it... I couldn't find the stamp set I was looking for the life of me, and I just couldn't make a background I liked... Soooo I started over. Clean and simple... until I get some free time to tackle it again :)

The cup is just something I've drawn up.

 

Cant wait to give it another go around. But It looks like I'm going to work early in the AM so it wont be tonight... Happy to work sad not to play hmmm what a conundrum....

Time to give those colored pencils a break...

She has absolutely Stunning images!!

For this I hopped on Pintrest to check out the 20's

for style. I was inspired by this dress:

Wouldn't it have been amazing to live in this time period!

For the dress I drew in the darkest areas and filled in all the places I wanted to emboss gold with

W9. I then took a Versa marker and filled in where I wanted the gold and heat embossed away :)

After that I worked my way down the W markers trying to keep it as light and sheer as possible.

I found it need to discover that the copics really just glazed over the embossing not leaving any color behind :)

 

Skin is the usual E000, E00, E11, R30, E04

Hair is W9, W7, W4

Flower and Lips, R89, R35, R32.

Feathers BG99, BG96, BG78.

And gold's is Y28.

Eyes BG72

 

I find these images really inspire me. They are just so easy to color up!

It's Challenge time again!

 

It's Challenge time for group A at:

 

Inky Impressions!

 

The theme was fold it! So in an all out war with

Silhouette to get my program up and running, this is what I was finally able to come up with.

 

It turns out, some how my silhouette library was corrupted. After uninstalling and trying to reinstall

several times we finally had to go to and delete my entire library. Which was totally not fun. I had to download and reinstall over 5000 files and reorganize them into files again.

I just have my fingers crossed it never happens again!

 

Any who back to what I'm supposed to be sharing!

  

This is the cute fold card I made using:

Hot Cocoa- Lily

 

I chose a random bunch of colors for her clothing and blankets. I figure who actually matches when they are sipping hot cocoa and watching TV? I assume that's what's she's doing :)

 

All of the pieces to the fold card are found in the silhouette library.

Love Potion

 

So exciting!!!

I'm sorry!

My younger daughter and I got to crafting and we had a bit of a mess...

 

by the time we finished and I tucked her in bed for the night.

We were making cards for one of my older daughters that is having her

wisdom teeth pulled. Yuck!

I walked back in here and just started thoughtlessly cleaning... though the good news is

plenty of room to start a new card?

 

If your really wondering I can do my best to guess them out for you :)

 

But the image itself will rock any colors you use! It was so fun to color :)

Ching-Chou Kuik Color challenge

Can I just say I had a blast coloring this up. I had thought about it all day how I wanted to try and make it different from what I had seen so far. Also, the way the Kimono sets, I felt it needed a seductive edge. That is what directed my deep tones choice in colors. I really tried to add depth and make her have a warm come hither feel. Then adding the moths in lighter tones to really enhance the background. I hope you enjoy her as much as I did coloring her up! She's now framed and ready to hang with my favorites!

I have colored her up in copics:

Hair: Blue, B39, B27, B93, Teal: BG78, BG75, BG72, Purples: V17, V15, V12, V25, BV34.

I then went in with W7, W5 and W4 to darken up any areas I really felt weren't deep enough. When I went into this I envisioned all the colors being deep and dark with hues of black being the blending factor through out.

Robe: BG78, BG75, BG72 C9, C7, C5, C3, B56, RV25. Again using the W colors to darken and shade.

Skin is : E000, E00, E11, R30, E04

Moths are: RV69, G24, YG61, G12, YG11, G82

Once upon a Time

So its a cold wet muddy day.

My little one is off to play while my older sweets has decided she's ready to head back to her dorm after wisdom teeth removal. House work is done.

So I figured the best thing to do was enjoy the quiet and color :)

This was put together using a wish wash of colors as I had all my markers spread all over my desk from a fun evening of coloring with two of my girls. I really just grabbed what ever looked good and didn't pay much attention to color combos. I'm sorry that I didn't take notes on colors :(

Just a short post.

 

Had so much fun crafting with my little one tonight!

She has kind of lost interest in the craft room and coloring... I may have burned her out..

 

But One of my older daughters is going in, in the morning to have her wisdom teeth pulled

So I was able to convince her to make a card for her sister. She is soooo talented!

You probably cant even tell which is hers :)

 

Look at the mess we made!!!!

 

Took me over an hour to put it all back!

But its all good, I'm all cleaned up and got all my posts scheduled for this week!

Had a little to much fun yesterday

What am I to do with all this free time!

I haven't worked in a month now, and my little one just went back to school after her three week Christmas vacation.... Sooo I spent the last two days being lazy and coloring :)

Here are the two I did today...

This card is made using
 Ching-Chou Kuik Digital stamps

Peony Kimono Maiden

I was especially thrilled with the sleeves on her Kimono. I can see the folds lol. Sorry couldn't help it!

Next up Alyce is getting ready to offer up some pencil classes on
Kit and Clowder

So I pulled out my beautiful box of Prisma pencils and brushed off all the dust and gave them a go. I've used prismas before for small touching up and what not. So this was new to take on an whole image :) 

 

First attempt left me a little unsatisfied so after glaring at it awhile I started really digging in and trying to make the colors pop. Much better! You can really layer this stuff up!

Faythe Flower Girl

 

I have been a card making crazy lady tonight!

Couldn't be the fact that my little one goes back to school tomorrow from

Christmas Vacation... more time to play and not feel guilty for hiding away from the world in

my Craft Room sanctuary!!

I thought I would try for a DT spot for the Amazing company:

The images are so clean and imaginative. It's hard to not be inspired by each and every one of them!

 

 

 

 

I've used the Beautiful

Wryn- Heartfelt Love

 

The borders have been machine sewn and gems popped in the corners.

Wryn is popped up with dimensional tape as well as a few of the hearts.

 

A little glaze on the paint brush gives a nice wet look :)
